i have NEVER been this angry about anything before, so let me give you the back story

so I had a nice, well-paying job that I liked in Philly and then I got pregnant and had to go onto paid maternity leave. Well while I was on leave the company went bankrupt and everyone got laid off. Since I am a single mother and since Im only 19 and dont have the support of my parents I cried but I brushed off my knees and realize im not the only one who is going through trouble. So a month before the birth of my twin children i arranged to rent an apartment in Buffalo NY through an internet realtor, i had never seen the place but the price was ok and i needed somewhere quick because I decided i wanted to relocate in buffalo because i had read on Yahoo that it was a good place to find decent jobs.

Well so fast forward to earlier today, i had just put my kids down for there nap and my hpone rings. Who is it I say. Oh it’s the realty company calling, good. Guess what they told me, they said that due to construction and "the city" i wouldnt be able to move into my apartment and Id have to find somewhere else. WHAT ABOUT THE 600 DOLLAR SECTY DEPOSIT I PAID!!! I asked oh were sorry ITS NON REFUNDABLE! I told them i was furious and would take legal action and they hung up and wouldnt answer back even after i left 10 messages for them.

my lease on the apartment i’m in ends in TWO DAYS after which i have arranged and paid money to have my stuff moved to buffalo. My nearest family members live in Wisconsin and i dont have money for plane tickets or a motel, i barely have money to drive my car to the store and back. so anyway in two days I will be HOMELESS and on the freezing streets of Buffalo. like i said i don’t have anywhere to stay and can NOT afford even a cheap motel unless i want my kids to go hungry.

There should be womens shelters that will be able to help you. Try to be as calm as you can, for the sake of your kids. Talk to the womens shelters and make steps toward moving into one.

As you know, I’m a Muslim and I pray 5 times a day, so wet dreams has become a major problem because some times at night i just get them(and don’t even remember dreaming, because i rarely get a dream) also I’m 15, and since you have to do shower before you pray(like if sperm comes out because its one of the haram things before you pray, so you must wash, take a shower) well… if i do go take a shower before prayers my parents will question me, and it’s realty embarrassing because i have never talked about these things with them, well also, they always wake me up in fajr in the last 10minutes, so when I get a wet dream i’m like damn! So i have to do something else to miss prayers(i would never do that but i know Allah will neveraccept my prayers). So todayi also needed a tiny bitpoo, (not really that much i just had to use that as an excuse so i could shower later) now my dadsmad at me fordoing thatand he told me not to eat food like i normally do… someone please help?! What do i do in a situation like this because wetdream strikes or normally strikes sometimes in a week, butmostly strikes between 2-3weeks! And it’s really annoying, soime times i feel like cursing my genitals.

If I do wake up 20minutes early my parents will still know, and sorry for some spelling errors i was using my phone. Any way, i set my alarm,like an hour early and alarms never work on me because i’m one of those deep sleepers. For Derrick, being scared was his favorite thing ever! Derrick was 14 years old, had brown hair and blue eyes! He had an athletic type of body. He loved loved loved scary movies and scary books. Most of all he loved Halloween. It was the time of year when he could go to the haunted houses people put up and be scared! He was walking home from school. The sun was out, the leaves the color of bananas, carrots, and tomatoes. It was a very beautiful day in the month of October. It was Halloween; kids would soon come out for trick- or –treating. Suddenly it became colder. The wind blew harder and the leaves rattled back and forth. The sky grew grey. Derrick found himself walking home alone, 2 blocks before his house. Derrick turned, the streets were empty, and no one was outside. Suddenly a black car drove by and a very tall man with a white complexion peered out through the window. The man threw an orange flyer at him, seeming to not care where the flyer landed. He highered the window and the car pulled away.
Derrick starred blankly at the orange flyer. It read:

Derrick’s eyes lit up! His eyes widened and a big grin spread over his face, like a smudged painting.
“I have to go to this!!” he assured himself despite the weirdness.
Later that day, with the permission of his mother, Derrick walked excitedly all the way to Beverly Hills Drive. He approached the big tent that had a big red sign at the top. It read, HAUNTED HOUSE. It was dark red dripping font. It seemed like the line would never end. One by one, the victims that seemed so innocent in the eyes of the man in the black car, went in. occasionally Derrick heard dreadful screams as if someone was being murdered. The more screams Derrick heard the more excited he became. He knew that he would realty be scared! Derrick noticed that as people went into the mysterious tent, no one came out!
“Maybe the exit is back there somewhere!” Derrick assured himself for the second time that evening! Soon enough, it was his turn! The Michael Myer’s song filled the air. Blinking red lights and smudged “blood” greeted him at the entrance.
“Enter at your own risk.” A creepy deep voice said stated. Derrick entered. It was pitch black. Derrick heard a piercing scream and then an evil laugh cackling in the distance. He fumbled in the dark, entering the second tent. There must have been at least 30 tents connected together. As the light grew to a dim light, he could see about 50 bloody bodies. Derrick’s neck and lower back tightened. He put his hand on the side of the plastic tent, trying to calm himself from what he had just seen. He fell something wet on his hand, which was red! He smelled it, the red liquid smelled like blood! Derrick panicked, looking for an exit. There was no exit!! He saw moving shadows. 5 men walked toward him. He recognized one of the faces; it was Tim Johnson! He was a serial killer on the loose. Tim’s hands were all bloody and held a bloody knife. He began to run. But before he could move, he felt a cold hand on his neck and and felt breathing down his back. He slowly turned, seeing another face of a previously caught serial killer, his name was Edward Pillar. Blood on his clothes, a knife in his hand Edward starred at him with an evil face, with a big grin on his face. The bloody silver knife glistened with the moonlight that was seeping through the tent. Edward pounced on him, stabbing him to death, creating a puddle of blood around him. The serial killers were never seen neither were they caught. They move from state to state still looking for hopeless victims setting up their tents to commit murder!

Use more educated words. i’m not saying this in a mean way, just suggesting using words that describe fear, anger, death, etc. You could use the word eerie to describe the surrounings, or surreptitious to describe weither a character is being sneaky. Also, if you want to instill a liitle fear or creepiness, describe the look in killer’s eyes, was it malevolent, malicious. Is the sky especially dark, are there a lot of clouds, are there any flickering lights? Anything like this will help the mood of your story. What is the killer’s skin tone, pale, eyes bloodshot, are they drunk, grinning wickedly? Are their hands shaking, balled into fists, curling or uncurling, tightening around the knife. etc. you get the point. I hope this helped!

We started escrow on our 1st home June 22, 2010. The seller requested that we sign an addendum that he can withdraw funds from our escrow account on the 18th day, which is tomorrow. He was supposed to start the major work on the house( new pool equipment, solar, resurfacing, fix windows, door knobs, etc) 2 days after we started escrow to be sure that it would be done in time for appraisal and that we could close in 45 days. As of today, NOTHING has been done. This morning our real estate agent (who is representing us and the seller) calls and asks that we sign a cancellation of escrow since the seller is not doing what he is supposed to and has been known to take people’s money and delay work so that they are not able to close on time and have to pay a per diem for every day over the contracted closing date. She did not tell us this before now. We also found out that the seller is the owner of the realty company that she works for! We don’t know what to do…she says that he could reject our contract now since we are cancelling escrow. This whole thing has seemed fishy for a while and we are getting nervous. What should we do?

As a Real Estate agent, I have fairly represented buyers and sellers on the same transaction. It can be done properly. In this case, it appears she had more allegiance to her boss than you. Was the boss – agent situation disclosed to you up front and in writing? That is major!

My personal standards would not let me represent an unethical seller or work for an unethical employer.

How much do you want this particular house? If you believe this is the only house for you, contact a Real Estate attorney NOW. Tread carefully with this seller. You have been warned! Have the attorney or the agent draft an addendum that removes the addendum that allows the seller to withdraw money at any time. This will give the seller time to do what he said he would and remove his the incentive for non performance. The addendum should also include time frames for performance and penalties on the seller

If you think you can find another house that will work, sign the offered cancellation and be happy you finally got the warning and the representation. I would also change agents. There are many good ones. Ask friends and family for references and interview more than one. Be wary of online agent referrals. The agents pay for those leads. Few really good agents have to do that. I can also give you a referral to a good agent in your area if you can not find one through your network.

I moved into this place in june 2010, at the time i was under contract with winstead realty. That rental company stopped working with the person that owned the house and the management switched hands. I was never asked to sign a new contract with the new agency. They had repairs that i had told them about when i moved in. These things were not fixed so I put it in writing and mailed it to the new agency which is 21st Century. They finally started on the repairs and now they are trying to tack on a new Pet deposit which is nowhere in the original contract. I asked for it in writing and was told no. I woke up this morning to an eviction notice because my rent was behind this month, its not 30 days late and ive been in contact with 21st trying to get everything settled. I asked them to send me a letter stating what was owed in writing to which i was also told no. I offered to pay the pet deposit even though it wasnt in my original contract if they gave it to me in writing so that when i moved i could get it back. What as a tenant can i do with this? I live in mississippi. I dont trust these people, im not under contract with them… im under contract with the previous rental agency. The rent is being paid today, and i told them i would pay the late fee later today to which i was also told No because they had to be together. I cant do that I already sent them the money for the rent its not in my possession anymore.
The new agency that im under knew the issue with the rent and there was no negative response from them until I asked for the pet deposit in writing.
They also knew of the pets before I moved in and was told that it was fine and there was no mention of a pet deposit.
Also, the eviction notice was just a note joted on a piece of paper, that says nothing about pay or get out or anything. Its not even typed out its just a note. I called them first thing this morning and was hung up on. I had been very up front with them, this is the first time ive ever been late with my rent and theyve been to my house numerous times, his child even played with one of my pets. The old agency rep that is. He was fully aware I had pets I even called him on it and he said he informed the owner that i had pets and she said it was fine. I wanna kick myself for not getting that it was fine in writing but it states nowhere on the contract that pets are not allowed and if i did have them there would be a deposit. Ive been up front and in contact with these people the whole time. Since i moved in june this is the third agency the owner has had in the house and part of the reason the rent was late is because i sent it to the old company because i was unaware of the switch.

As far as rent, it is late on day one, not day 30. Your eviction will be done in less than that time.

If you have animals not on your original lease they can charge you for them. If the animals were already listed on your lease and there was no deposit at that time they can not.

You are under contract with them, the contract transfers over.

Today I got a phone call from the realty and they left a voicemail saying that someone wanted to see the house in an hour. I was about to go clean up when I realized I didn’t have my car (my husband took his to work and mine isn’t working). I didn’t call the realty back but I assumed they would just not show the house. My mistake indeed. I was about to get into the shower when my actual agent called and left a message saying that he was about to come and let the people in. I immediately called him and let him know that the house could not be shown today because I can’t leave. Can he really just show my house if he isn’t given direct permission? It bothers me seeing as he could have walked in while I was in the shower. Not only that but I have two territorial inside dogs. I’ve learned my lesson on getting back to the realtor…but I’m still concerned. I feel violated in a way.
Ps: before anyone says that I could go for a walk, I have to say I couldn’t. My dogs do not walk they are big babies. I have a one year old and I’m pregnant! There is no way I’m going out with her in that 100 degree weather! LOL
We live in Missouri. And we have never given permission to our realty to openly show our home. He told us at the beginning that realtors will never show up without an appointment. It’s like he contradicted his own statement. Without clearance an appointment doesn’t exist right?

Oh and WE own our house…we have every right to veto a showing. We have been told that from the beginning. And we also told them I need two hours notice AT THE LEAST. The last two times they have called thirty minutes before. That’s not going to work.

If you didn’t clarify to your agent that he MUST have your permission before he enters, then it’s certainly not the agent’s fault.

Call the agent and make it clear that he, and ALL other agents, must have your express permission to enter.

Added: If your agreement doesn’t state "by appointment only", then it’s not by appointment only. The second that people started showing up unannounced, you needed to call the agent and let him know that it needs to be clearer on the listing.
If you never stated EXACTLY what you wanted regarding appointments, how is your agent supposed to know?
Again, you need to make it clear that you don’t consider a message on an answering machine as an appointment.
To me, this isn’t a state law issue – it’s an issue of you setting boundaries that you are comfortable with.

This place helps owners rent houses all the time and I put in an application for 3 houses…any of them would be great for me and my family. They told me it would take 24 to 48 hours for them to do everything…call my landlord, check my work history etc. Today at noon will be 48 hours so my question is…do you think that is a good sign or a bad sign that it is taking them so long. Serious answers only please. I really want one of these homes but I don’t want to get my hopes up.

it is the end of the month so things get pretty busy at these places. people are moving out/in, rent is almost due and other people have applications in as well for the same reasons. so if they don’t call you back give them a call and see what’s up with it. if you are sure you don’t have any thing on your credit report in regards to a negative rental or you’ve never been late with your current landlord don’t worry. the end of the month gets crazy in those places.

Last year in May 2009, I looked at a foreclosed home in Livonia, Michigan. There was a robin’s nest in the front porch light, and she was feeding her babies. I refer to her as "Realty Robin". Just today, I looked at another foreclosure (also in Livonia), and it also had a bird’s nest in the porch light. Of course, this time of year it wasn’t active, but it was probably built this past spring.

Birds find places to nest that are safe from predators (including us). I have a robin that nests on the top of my porch light platform every year in our front yard. We rarely use our front yard and I believe this is one reason why they use this nesting site. If the nests are cleared each year, they will continue to use the same nesting site. Otherwise, they will move around to other locations around the house.

This is a very interesting observation. I wonder if because of the increase in foreclosures throughout the States, if birds have been using more housing structures rather than natural trees and bushes. Does these houses provide more territories for birds such as robins? Thanks for the question!

A Bachelor man, Rohan is excited as today he would be meeting a girl called Pushpa along with his parents and decide whether or not she would be his life partner or not. Rohan and his parents meet the girl and his parents and they do not approve the girl, as she is dark in colour. That night when Rohan goes to sleep, he sees a dream. In the dream he comes across a Jinn just like the one in the story ALLADIN.

Jinn: “ O my master, what can I do for you”?

At this point Rohan wakes up from his sleep and just ponders over his dream. He takes a decision there and there that he would marry Pushpa and he conveys this to his parents who somehow are convinced by Rohan but they are as astonished as to what changed his decisions overnight.

Rohan: “ Well Mom and Dad, there is nothing like perfect beauty. Contentment is what truly makes everything look beautiful”

What according you is the philosophy that Rohan has imbibed from the Jinn ? Do you agree personally to the conclusions drawn by Rohan after he wakes up ?

If he only wanted an outwardly beautiful wife and didn’t care for her inner self then why would he marry an outwardly ugly woman with a beautiful inner self? Anyway, good story despite several grammatical/spelling/punctuation errors. I think I do agree with his statement of contentment at the end. If we make a change inside ourselves, we see a resulting change in the world surrounding us and that change can be positive or negative.

I just have to say this as an American who loves the U.S. and has traveled the world.We all live under a bubble in this world but when your airplane pops out of the bubble of info into free space you leave all of your countries ideals behind and you begin to realize everything you have ever be taught is based on your countries ideas and beliefs.Saint Augustine said one of the most important things ever said"The world is a book and those who don’t travel only read one page."If you don’t you just get stuck on page 1 and that is all you ever know and that is dangerous.As I travel the world and see all of the different cultures I see how I was taught to believe America was the greatest place in the world.Well,that is the same propaganda north Korea teaches to its people.I have seen the same mentality in a brainwashed isolated north Koreans as I have seen in a mid western isolated Americans.If I said this to a north Korean they would scream and complain that I am a liar but that is the the same way as our isolated mid westerners or any isolated non traveled American would act.My brother is a history professor who understands everything about history but has always liked to live in the smallest towns.Yeah!He has never traveled and has no idea about the outside world and it hurts me deeply because if I try to talk to him about the American foreign policy even before George Bush he gets mad and I think to myself "Why did you ever study history."
